Role Overview:
The Aide (likely a Health Assistant or Nursing Aide) provides support to health professionals by performing non-clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of health facilities.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist nurses and clinical officers in patient care, such as moving patients and preparing examination rooms.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in health facility wards and premises.

  • Transport medical supplies, equipment, and patients within the facility as needed.

  • Support community health activities, including mobilization for outreach programs.

  • Report any observed patient issues to nurses or clinical officers.

  • Ensure proper waste disposal in line with health guidelines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.


Qualifications and Experience:



  • A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a pass in English.

  • A Certificate in Health Assistance, Nursing Aide, or a related field is an added advantage.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a health facility is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.


Competencies:



  • Basic support in healthcare settings.

  • Hygiene and sanitation awareness.

  • Teamwork and reliability.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
