Role Overview:
The Enrolled Nurse provides basic nursing care to patients in health facilities, supporting clinical officers and other health professionals in delivering healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by clinical officers or doctors.

  • Monitor patients’ conditions and report any changes to senior health staff.

  • Assist in patient examinations, wound dressing, and other clinical procedures.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in health facilities.

  • Participate in health education and community outreach programs.

  • Keep accurate patient records and manage medical supplies.

  • Support maternal and child health services, including immunization.


Qualifications and Experience:



  • A Certificate in Enrolled Nursing from a recognized institution.

  • Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council with a valid practicing license.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is an added advantage.


Competencies:



  • Basic nursing care and patient handling.

  • Attention to detail and record-keeping.

  • Compassion and patient-centered care.

  • Teamwork and communication.
